Ragusa Ibla - Sicily
The gem you want to get to know in Sicily
I received an invitation to come to the city of Ragusa and I am happy that he went to visit such a beautiful and charming city.
In Italy, as in every popular country in Europe, there are big and famous cities where crowds of people come as opposed to the "hidden" cities where when you get to them you have the feeling that you have found the treasure.
This was exactly my feeling when I arrived in Ragusa, few tourists, clean and quiet, and every place in it was more beautiful than the next.
The city is close to a wine region with excellent wineries, perfect weather, and pleasant and welcoming people who make you want to stay.
There is no doubt that this is a city that I would like to return to again and this time to stay overnight.

Ragusa Ibla, a beautiful city
Ragusa Ibla is a charming and historic district in Ragusa, Sicily, renowned for its stunning Baroque architecture.
Nestled in a valley, this UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts narrow, winding streets with ornate churches, palaces, and squares. The Piazza Duomo, with its majestic cathedral, is a focal point of the district.
You can explore the ancient hypogeums, admire the intricate stonework of the buildings, and soak up the unique atmosphere of this captivating Italian gem.
Locanda Don Serafino Restaurant
My last stop was at the Locanda Don Serafino Michelin star restaurant! which was breathtaking from the moment you entered the door to the dessert.
Each dish was sophisticated, full of flavors, and incredibly delicious.
All ingredients are local and you can feel the freshness that elevates the taste to a different level.
The dishes were accompanied by different wines from their impressive cellar.
This experience was the highlight of my trip and I recommend it for your next visit to Sicily.
