Prague beer - Beer tour - Beer festival

Get your glass ready!

The Czech Republic is the #1 in the world in beer consumption!

Therefore, most of the beers you will drink will have a relatively low alcohol content. I learned this from Tamir, the guide we had on two different beer tours I was on.

The first - is a four-day beer tour in the Czech Republic including a beer festival in Prague.

The second - is a three-hour beer tour in Prague.

You are invited to read about the tours and experiences on this page.

Prague beer festival

Every year there are several beer festivals in the Czech Republic and for those who like it, it is recommended to check when and come. I was at a beer and burger festival in Prague that takes place in May as part of a four-day beer tour. The festival was wonderful, there was a wealth of different types of beers from breweries from all over the country.

What worked great for us and should work for you too: We arrived as a group at the beginning of the festival and grabbed a table. Within an hour of the beginning of the festival, all the tables were filled, so it is important not to wait in this matter. Each in turn went to bring a different beer and we tasted each other so that we got to enjoy the large selection and not everyone had to stand in the long queues for beer. At the entrance, you buy an entrance ticket and receive a beer glass into which the beers are poured at the stalls. The burgers were nice but they weren't the highlight. This is the link to the Facebook page of the PIVO festival

Cheers!

Prague beer tour

What is special about Prague in general and the beer scene in particular is the combination of old and new.

On the beer tour, we were in several very different places from each other, we started at a relatively new brewery and ended at an ancient bar of hundreds of years, where we also tasted the local food.

The taste of the beer in each of the places was wonderful. I have to admit - thanks to this tour, I opened up to the world of beer more significantly. As a result of expanding my knowledge (if you can call it that) of the different types, today I drink new things and also understand a little about what I'm drinking.

Recommendations regarding the tour -

1. Go on a tour

2. Eat before, although there is some food on the tour, the stomach shouldn't be empty

3. Drink everywhere a little even if the beer is tasty. Even if you have a good capasity, at some point the flavors get mixed up if you drink a lot

4. Take a picture at first because later on you forget (I wonder why...)

5. Enjoy, of course, you will!
